The first people to settle Cuba were the Spanish.

In 1898 The US won Cuba from Spain and the US let them be a free country. Jose Marti led this movement.

Fidel Castro gained presidency in Cuba in 1959. In 1960 the US broke diplomatic relations with Havana. In 1961 Bay of Pigs, the US sponsers the invasion of Cuba. In 1962 the Cubans allowed the Russians to import nuclear missiles in Cuba.
