Television is a way we humans communicate, and entertain. Television is something we interact with everyday and has become a pivotal part in our lives. Without our television there might be a lack of communication between all of us and lead to much more technology in the world.

Electronic television is based on the development of the cathode ray tube. German scientist, Karl Braun invented the cathode ray tube oscilloscope (CRT) in 1897.

Russian inventor, Vladimir Zworykin invented an improved cathode-ray tube called the kinescope in 1929.

The transmission of dynamic or sometimes static images, generally with accompanying sound, via electric or electromagnetic signals

Almost everyone watches TV! TV has a much bigger impact on our life than we think. It affects our outlook on love, success, and life in general. What we feed our minds through Television has a huge impact on the people we are.

More History...

In 1927, Philo Farnsworth was the first inventor to transmit a television image comprised of 60 horizontal lines. The image transmitted was a dollar sign.

Marvin Middlemark invented "rabbit ears", the "V" shaped TV antennae.

How It Works

The television works by receiving wireless transmitted electromagnetic waves and changing them into sound and light energy that is then used for viewing the television.
