5. What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use these sensors?
This robot has five different sensors. tactile, light, audition, temperature, and posture sensors. With its light sensor it can tell if it is light or dark. With the tactile sensor it can feel if its being beaten or stroked. With the posture sensor it can tell if its being held. Paro can also recognize the direction of voice and words such as its name, greetings, and praise with its audio sensor.

Paro replaces cat and dog therapy visits. Homes with Paro needn't worry about allergies, scratches and bites, or walkings and feedings. A disadvantage is that it costs 6000 to buy one.
