Can a solid and a liquid make a gas?

Collect one small cup of
vinegar.
Do not mix anything yet, just
keep them to one side.

*One pop stick to stir.
*Two paper towels or cleaning spills
This solid is not harmful but it does
taste unpleasant. Take care not to
get it into your mouth.

Collect one teaspoonful of the solid called bicarbonate of soda into a cup.
Finally.....
Take the liquid (vinegar) and solid (bicarbonate of soda) and mix them together.
