2. Live in
Transparency
- Be the same person at home and at church
Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. (ASV)
Children don’t reject our faith too much formal teaching. The reject it because we don’t practice it. They reject it because we practice it but don’t value it enough to teach it to them. Or they reject it because they never received new birth. But too much knowledge is not the problem. A lack of knowledge usually is. - William Farley
1. Walk in Humility

Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus,
who, existing in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God as something to be
used for His own advantage.
Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave,
taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man
in His external form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient
to the point of death- even to death on a cross.
(Philippians 2:5-8 CSB)
3. Suffer publicly
There are some things in our lives we urgently need to lose. They are like Gollum’s rings to precious to us. By losing those false prizes we gain Christ.
What the Gospel Demands of Parents
Proverbs 22:6
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Romans 8:18
4. Trust Jesus completely
Parents teach your kids the gospel is not just something that begins the Christian life but empowers it, shapes it and sustains it. Pray, love, correct and demonstrate the love of God to your kids until he draws them they respond and He becomes their treasure and their great reward.
