Cloth Grocery Bags

Come forth into the light of things,

let nature be your teacher.

-William Woodsworth

Topic 5- Nonconformity

"Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't." -Margret Thatcher

on the "conformity scale"

One of the examples in modern society in which the public tries to preserve the enviornment is through using cloth bags when going grocery shopping. Well, let's just say that while they stop plastic grocery bags from entering into the environment, they will not make your bagger happy (aka ME!!!). These bags are the spawn of Satan and while

Sutton B-K (semi-nonconformist)

As the average person may notice, Mattsen's dot is off the chart of the conformity scale. Hmm.... that's quite strange isn't it. Well, yes, yes it is! Mattsen is such a nonconformist he's entered what I like to call the "dead zone" which is when people become hipsters. The "dead zone" is deemed so because its where the soul goes to die...

Examples of the Hipster Movement through Mattsen

environmentally friendly, they are horrible. Very little of the time the customer leaves a store satisfied when someone bags their groceries in these horrible contraptions. The bag is either one of the following things in the mind of the customer: to heavy, to light, or packed incorrectly. Well, you know what old lady?!? BAG YOUR OWN GROCERIES if I'm doing in wrongly. This is an example that I'm sure enviornmentalists/transcendentalists enjoy at the suffering of the grocery store employee.

Topic 4- Free Thought

"If there is any principle of the Constitution that more imperatively calls for attachment than any other it is the principle of free thought, not free thought for those who agree with us but freedom for the thought that we hate"

-Oliver Wendell Holmes

System of a Down, a well-known Armenian-American metal band can quite obviously epitomize the randomness and creativity of free thought. Their song "Chop Suey!" show this free thought.

"Wake up (Wake up) Grab a brush and put a little makeup Hide the scars to fade away the shake up (Hide the scars to fade away the shake )

Why'd you leave the keys up on the table? Here you go create another fable (You wanted to)

Grab a brush and put on a little makeup

(You wanted to)

Hide the scars to fade away the shake up

(You wanted to)

Why'd you leave the keys up on the table?

(You wanted to)

I don't think you trust, in, my,

Self-righteous suicide,

I, cry, when angels deserve to die! "

Topic 2

Self-Reliance

Lord of the Rings and the books created by J.R.R. Tolkien show self-reliance throughout a majority of the plot and through the live of the characters.

Examples of self-reliance include Frodo and Sam's climb to Mt. Doom, Smeagol, and even Aragon's fight to defend his kingdom.

"Courage is found in unlike places"

-J.R.R. Tolkien

Topic 1: Self-Confidence

Donald Trump is one of the most out-spoken members of the aristocratic community in the United States and around the world. Famous for his vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and never allowing his opponents to win an argument against him. When watching Trump speak, one can see his confidence in his opinion and his ideologies. He is an example of transcendentalism in the media with his flagrant confidence.

"I like thinking big. If you're going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big. " -Donald Trump
