The Dandelion cell has many responsibilities to achieve inside this plant. This plant is very unique and I cant wait to see it during the summer, now that i know all this information about it!
Alex MacLean 8G
The responsibilities of a cell are to make up a living life form. To provide nutrients and water for the cell.
Cells repeatedly divide to make more cells for growth and repair. They continusely do this until the they cells is complete, and then if needed will help other cells be created. A cell is only a cell if it has all of its organisms inside the cell.
The Dandelion Cell consist of
-Cell Membrane (lets parts of cells come in and out)
-Cell Wall (shapes the cell, outer layer, protects the cell)
-Mitochondria (supplies chemical energy for the cell)
-Ribosomes (supplies the cell wit protien molecules, controlled by RNA)
-Endoplasmic Reticulum (forms an interconnected network of flattened membrane)
-Golgi Bodies (packages the protien molecules inside the cell)
-Cytoplasm (breaks down waste in the cell)
-Nucleus (contains genetic material for the cell, DNA)
-Nucleolus (assembles the cell and is in control of stress in the cell)
-Vauloes (stores water in the cell)
-Chloroplast (conducts photosynthesis in the cell)
Size
There is no exact measurement for a cell, but they are the smallest unit of life.
The Dandelion is a very unique plant. It can heal many illnesses or diseases such as Cancer, Diabetes, Liver, Kidneys, Digestive Aids, Choleterol, ext. The cell however look a little different.
The Dandelion consist of the following below.
Structure
-The leaves on a Dandelion are 5-25 cm long
-The flower head is 2-5 cm in diameter(eventually the flower heads mature into seed heads called "blowballs", or "clocks")
-The flower heads are a yellow to orange color(they open during daytime and closed at night.
-The stem is hollow(scape) it rises 1-10cm or more.
