Two students were paddled, one "brutally" 20 times, by their administration at Charles R. Drew Junior High School for a reason supposedly unkown to the fellers at the time.

The families of them boys brought suit against the school the district for what they interperated as cruel and unusual punishment.

The case was based off the idea the the boy's eigth (punishment) and fourteenth (due process) ammendment rights had been violated.
