Starting a project
- Click on Create
- Add collaborators by username or email by clicking on the add button in the top right corner
- Click on "Create Class" to get started
- Create a Classroom Name and write what it is about then hit save
- Now it's time to add students
Collaborating in a live session
- You will be notified by email when a revision has been saved
- With the mix editor now open, select which type of track you would like to add to your project first.
- You can also choose to browse the loop library or import Audio or midi.
- You can start a live collaboration by selecting "Start Session" and having your collaborators log on to join
- There is a chat feature in the bottom right corner to make notes and talk back and forth

Get started quick or find inspiration by starting with some premade loops.
- Click on the loops on the bottom right
- Search for key, instrument, style...etc
- Preview the file
- Click and drag the one you want into the timeline

Creating Assignments
Editing
- Add track and select "Instruments"
- With your new track highlighted, click on instrument in the bottom left corner
- Double click on the recording you want to edit (software instrument recording or audio recording)
- This pulls up your editing window

From there you can:
- select your instrument
- select a midi device
- and see which qwerty keyboard letters to press for each musical pitch
- Click on "My Library"
- Click on "Mix Editor"
- Create your assignment tracks, accompaniment, etc.
- Make sure you save
- Go back to your dashboard and click on your class
- Click on "New Assignment"
- On the "Attachments" tab you will be able to select your saved files
- Fill out the rest of the assignment info and click "Publish Assignment"
- HIT Record and make some music!
- Split the track into two by placing the playhead and right clicking (ctrl + click) and selecting slice
- add fade in and fade out by scrolling to either end of the wave editor and clicking on the white box in the top corner and dragging it towards the center
- Shorten or lengthen notes by selecting them and clicking and dragging the rightmost end of the note in either direction
- Change pitches by clicking and dragging notes up or down
- Draw in new notes using the pencil tool
- Change the volume of individual notes by selecting the velocity tool

Recording real audio
- Add track and select "voice/mic"
- With your new track highlighted, click on source in the bottom left corner
You will receive an email when an assignment has been submitted
From there you can:
- select your input source/microphone
- choose whether or not to monitor that source in your speakers/headphones
- and see the input volume meter
- HIT Record and capture some music!
You can then preview or open with the mix editor to check out the assignment and leave a comment
