What is IIT?
“Instructional Intervention Teams (IIT) throughout Howard County have a focus on supporting teachers to improve student outcomes. Teams help teachers and staff identify and implement strategies for use in classrooms that assist individuals, groups, or classes of students. Implementation of IIT is a high leverage strategy that supports Goals One and Two of the School Improvement Plan and also helps schools meet HCPSS systemic expectations. All middle and elementary schools are implementing the IIT model in some way.”
Time & Frequency
- IITs meet every other week/twice a month.
- Administration schedules team meetings.
