The Music:
The Renaissance Music Timeline: (1400-1600)
- Polyphony is discovered as long as secular music and sacred music.
- Renaissance music is written is Europe during the Renaissance in from the 1400s - 1600s.
- The violin, guitar, flute and some percussion was brought into the Renaissance era.
- Towards the mid 1600s, all brass, strings, percussion and woodwind intruments were used.
- The invention of the Gutenburg Press made ditribution of music and musical theory possible on a wide scale.
- Lots of musicians were formed through the years and more composers with teachers.
- Opera arose at this point in time in Florence as an attempt to ressurect the music of Ancient Greece.

Sacred Music:
- This means no instruments were used in the church at all or during church.
- They used whats known as "a capella" which means voices only with no accompaniment (instruments).
Secular Music:
- The first instruments were used like the sackbut (trombone), Shawms (clarinet), and the Obo.
- A form of Aristrocratic called Mardigral originated then.
