Prosecution Against Trafficking
- Those charged with labor trafficking can get five to 12 years of prison with upwards of a $600 fine
- Sex trafficking get five years of prison to the death penalty
- In 2013, 84 new cases of sex trafficking were investigated and two of forced labor
- 215 cases began prosecution in 2013
- Of 14 convicted traffickers in 2013, five were given a life sentence, eigth 10 years, and one four months.
