• Analyse the employer’s strategic skills profile and align it in accordance to industry best practice and statutory requirements and the companies’ business objectives/strategic plan;
• Complete an analysis of the current knowledge and skills of employees employed by the employer;
• Assist in the setting of skills priorities in terms of the employer’s skills profile and skills gaps;
• Assist in alignment of skills against the National Qualification Framework;
• Initiate and guide the employers training committee;
• Demonstrate commitment to quality assurance in the organisation;
• Consult on the creation of a training budget and schedule;
• Source applicable accredited training providers in terms of the budget, strategic skills profile and schedule;
• Assist in the formulation of a company training and employment equity policy if applicable;
• Compile and complete the employers Work Place Skills Plan;
• Compile and complete the employers Annual Training Report;
• Follow up on all monies owed to the employer by their SETA; and
• Make the necessary applications to the relevant SETA in order to attempt to secure funded training;
• Complete reports of training completed in terms of the skills audit;
• Comply with all requirements in terms of the confidentiality of the information provided by the company.
