Progress on protecting Fauna
There has been extensive progress with regards to increasing the fauna habitat around the lake. Refuge islands have been developed and extensive habitats due to large rehabilitation works.

Management History
Lake Monger Reserve is a regionally significant recreational reserve with facilities such as the bowling club, the walk and cycle path as well as the playgrounds, barbeques and toilets.
The lake monger management plan, part 1 and 2 where written and released in November 1992 by the city of Perth. The town of Cambridge has since undertaken numerous works of undertaking rehabilitation of the lake and upgrading lake facilities.
