Incidence of Klinefelters
- affects 1 in 660 men
- most common sex chromosome disorder in the world
- 3.1% of infertile males have klinefelter syndrome
Treatments for this Disease
- Testosterone supplement treatment
- through injection
- does not improve fertility
- if started around age of puberty, it will help with normal body development
Physical symptoms or characteristics
- Symptoms not very obvious:
- Abnormal body proportions
- Abnormally large breasts
- Smaller testes
- Lower testosterone levels (reduced body and facial hair)
