RULE No.1

To form the comparative and the superlative of the monosyllabic adjectives, we will add the particles -er for the comparative, and -est for the superlative:

Adjetivo: FAT

Comparativo: FATTER

Superlativo: FATTEST

When we want to compare two nouns in English, we use the comparative degrees.

RULE No.3

Disyllabic adjectives ending in "Y". We change the "Y" to "i" and apply the rule to add "er" to comparatives and "est" to superlatives.

RULE No.4

Long adjectives ending in "FULL, ING, OUS, IVE, ISH, AL, ABLE, ED".

We apply the rule of adding "more" in front of the adjective in the comparatives, and

"Most" to the superlatives.
