- Ancient Egypt influenced many things today:
- architecture
- art decoratoins
- women’s liberation, and craftsmanship of tools.
- The Pyramids serve as testament to their mathematical skill
- Slaves of this time were commonly prisoners of war.
- Although the pyramid are often said to be built by slaves, there is little historical evidences of this.
- The historical evidence suggests that farmers and other workers were employed during the flood season to build the pyramids and other large building projects.
The Architecture of the Pyramids in Giza .
- Pyramid of Menkaura was made of limestone & granite.
- Pyramid of Khaefra was made of limestone,granite & fine white Turah lime stone.
- Great Pyramid was made of limestone & granite & fine white turah lime stone outer casing.
role of children
- Children in ancient Egypt were cherished.
- parents could adopt.
- many things killed children.
- It was the duty of parents to educate their children.
- The children that survived were taught to be kind and honest & respectful.
Government and religion
- Their government was Hierarchy.
- levels of cooperation helped them be stable.
- Egypt's government & religion were united.
- The pharaoh was the head and a representative of the gods on earth.
Role of women :
- Women enjoyed the same legal &economic rights
- The disparities between people’s legal rights were differences in social class and not on gender. Legal and economic rights were afforded to both men and women.
Mummification
- there were four steps to follow
- first step : remove organs from the body.
- second step : covering the body in natron and left it until dry.
- third step : to cover the body in linen to protect them & slipped jewerly in the bandages.
- fourth step : the body was wrapped in a sheet & a Book was placed with them to help their soul.
