Onscreen assessment design

What are our next steps?

  • We can work on the format of your practice onscreen assessment together
  • The interface should be well-designed
  • Consider the skills outside of the content area used in completing this type of assessment
  • Consider the facility of its format
  • Consider the unfamiliar stimulus materials included, and connections to "Fairness and Development"
  • Individually or together

Rehearsing inquiry

Working with Overview

  • Teachers need to use inquiry approach with students in every year
  • Grades 9-10 teachers must rehearse this approach in the next 18-20 months
  • Grades 6-8 teachers must also provide learning engagements using this approach
  • PD provided - survey soon
  • Add to team meetings - share practices, lesson design support
  • Spiral related concepts 1x in 6, 7, 8 and 1x in 9-10
  • Ensure some experience with each GC throughout your overview
  • Assessments DO include investigation/process (Criterion B) in conjunction with Criterion C.
  • Assessments allow for connections to authentic contexts (GC)
  • Assessments are open ended
  • Overview has requirements for work produced electronically
  • Change the last unit before the Pilot if needed
