the conclusion i came to was that transcendental ideals are still alive in today's society and are still applied in our media and encouraging us to disconnect from our material items in this world and get in touch with nature

On The Bright Side by Never Shout Never

this song shows idealism/ optimism ideals because you are only as big as you think you are, and you are only as small as the world sees you, and if you want to accomplish something, you can if you believe in yourself (Never).

Idealism/ Optimism

Idealism/ Optimism is the transcendental ideal that you can do what ever you want if you believe that you can do it.

"Yet he dismisses without notice his thought, because it is his. In every work of genius we recognize our own rejected thoughts: they came back to us with a certain alienated majesty." (Wilhelm)

This quote shows the trait Idealism/ Optimism because is says that every one is a genius in their own way. But we dismiss our ideas because we dont think they are good enough because they are their own.

Simplicity

this quote shows nonconformist ideals in transcendentalism because the parents of the girl let her live a free life, letting her be equal to men let her have a happier life then a regular woman would.
