The CoAxial Segment is an oceanic volcano of the coast of North America. The submarine volcano last erupted in 1993. It is -2400 meters above sea level. It consists of oceanic crust that has formed a volcano due to the Juan de Fuca Ridge. this means the volcano is a result of divergent boundaries.

in 79 A.D Mt Vesuvius in the city of Pompeii, Italy erupted destroying the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.Mt Vesuvius is a complex stratovolcano because it is built of layers of Alternating lava flows. due to it being inland the volcano was on continental crust. Mt Vesuvius is part of a line of volcanoes formed on a tectonic subduction zone. Mt Vesuvius last erupted on March 7th 1944 killing approximately 150 people.

Mt Aira is a Caldera Volcano, which is formed because of the collapse of the outer volcano due to an empty chamber inside the volcano itself. The volcano is formed on continental crust due to the movement of two converging plates. the latest eruption was is 2016 but was a very minor eruption.

Tennant Creek suffered 2 earthquakes in 1 day. the first being a magnitude of 6.3 and the second being a magnitude of 6.6. damage was remarkably small. The earthquakes involved continental crust, the quake was recognized by seismologists and an 'intra-plate quake' meaning it was a result of the movement of the plates folding the inner part of the quake causing movement. the latest earthquake in the northern territory was on the 20th of October 2016 at a magnitude of 3.

The Earthquake that struck Chile in 1960 was the most powerful earthquake ever recorded with a magnitude of 9.5. It is known that the Nazca Plate subducted under the South American Plate causing the earthquake, meaning it was a convergent plate boundary of oceanic crust. In early 2010 there was a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck Chiles capital, Santiago, 20km from the Valdiva epicenter of 1960.
both earthquakes caused a tsunami which killed approximately 1,600 people each.
