Scenic Elements

The set design was chosen to be a literal sense of what is actually happening, in other words: what the audience sees is real. The set elements are not left for interpretation. Based on the idea that the play has many themes, metaphors and symbolic meanings, the set design was kept to a literal visual sense.

Inspiration

Costumes were chosen based on physical characteristics and emotional characteristics. Costumes were chosen to symbolize certain emotional characteristics, physical characteristics and also enhance an idea to the audience about whom they are and how they came to be where they are in the play. Color played a large role with the symbolizing of each characters unique involvement with the theme and also the involvement they have with each other.

The lighting was chosen to enhance realistic elements such as time of day, warmth and cool, but also is used to enhance the symbolism and moods regarding revenge and redemption.
