Bullying Definition
Types Of Bullying
- Use superior strength or influence to intimidate someone, typically to force him or her to do what one wants, repetitively.

- Bullying Over The Internet Or Phone
- (It Can Happen 24/7)
- Threatening To Hurt Somebody
- Making Rude Comments Or Posting Things About People

- Separate the kids involved.
- Make sure everyone is okay & safe
- Stay calm. Reassure the kids involved, including bystanders.
- Model respectful behavior when you intervene.
B. Social~ involves a bully trying to hurt a peer and/or that peer’s standing within a particular peer group.
Examples:
- Leaving Somebody Out On Purpose
- Telling Other People Not To Be Friends With Someone
- Spreading Rumors
- Embarrassing Someone In Public

Common Mistakes
Get Emergency Services Involved Immediately If:
- Don't ignore it. Don't think kids can work it out without adult help
- Don't immediately try to sort things out.
- Don't force other kids to say publicly what they saw
- Don't question the children involved in front of other kids.
- Don't talk to kids involved together
- Don't make the kids involved apologize or patch up relations on the spot.
- A weapon is involved
- There are threats of serious injury
- There are threats of hate-motivated violence, such as racism or homophobia.
- There is serious bodily harm
- There is sexual abuse
A. Verbal Bullying~ A form of bullying that is expressed in spoken words.
Examples:
- Teasing
- Name Calling
- Inappropriate Sexual Comments
- Taunting
- Threatening To Cause Harm

- Social power
- Overly concerned about popularity
- Likes to be dominate & incharge
- Aggressive & easily frustrated
- Less parental involvement or issues at home
- Think badly of others
- Difficulty following rules
- View violence in a positive way
- Have friends who bully others
