3. Roll your slab (larger than you need) 1/4" on cloth.
4. Lay templates on slab for wall(s) & base. Trace and cut pieces out of slab.
5. Using scoring, slip & small coils, attach the walls and base.
6. Pull handle(s). Attach using scoring & slip.
7. Lay plastic over clay cup/vase overnight to dry to leatherhard. Begin carving & imprinting textures the next day.

1. Score & slip base (top four sides).
2. Score & slip one side a time. Score & slip each side that joins with another piece of clay.
3. Lay a snake on the inside of each joint and smooth with your hands.

1. Rough draft of piece
2. Identify the shape of each side of the object.
3. Decide on precise measurements for each side (double check measurements).
4. Create a side at a time out of posterboard (check & make corrections as you go).
* Tip: Any sides that are the same, should be duplicated from the first one made.
5. Tape them together (masking tape) to check and make corrections.

3. Roll your slab (larger than you need) on cloth. Allow to dry overnight, loosely covered with plastic.
4. Lay template(s) on slab. Trace and cut piece(s) out of slab. Repeat if needed.
5. Set piece(s) aside, loosely covered to dry to almost leatherhard.
