Social Media Plan
Existing Social Media Platforms
Main Objective
- Give a better inside look at the restaurant
- Sharing interesting stories, events and tying it all into the community could be an attractive aspect for MSC’s blog
- MSC could make videos recapping performances of the week/month
- MSC could also make a short video addressing the Berea natives and the community
Main Street Cafe
- to gain a greater following on the Internet
- attract new customers to the restaurant
- maintain the homegrown impression and atmosphere that the MSC presents
Lindsay Kavanaugh
PUB 410S
- MSC could encourage customers to get creative and make six second videos about a short summary of their experience at the café
- As soon as they post it on their Twitter feed/Facebook profile, their followers will see it as well (this easily serves as free advertising for the café).
- Wanting to reach everyone (including those outside of Berea College) means going further than Facebook and online social media platforms
- Distributing postcard sized fliers about discounts on food and drinks and events happening at the café may prove to be more effective in some areas of the city than the other social media channels
