Causes
What is CIP?
- Genetic mutation in genetic make up during formation of nerve cells
Signs and Symptoms
- Condition that inhibits the ability to feel any pain
- Considered a form of peripheral neuropathy
- Undeveloped receptors that send pain signals to the brain
- cause it affects peripheral nervous system that connects the brain and spinal cord to your muscles and cells that detects sensation
- Lack of pain awareness
- Frequent physical injuries
- No awareness of physical danger
- Oral damage
- Fractured bones
- Injuries and health issues go undetected
- Overproduction of endorphins in the brain
