Causes

What is CIP?

  • Genetic mutation in genetic make up during formation of nerve cells

Signs and Symptoms

  • Condition that inhibits the ability to feel any pain
  • Considered a form of peripheral neuropathy
  • Undeveloped receptors that send pain signals to the brain

- cause it affects peripheral nervous system that connects the brain and spinal cord to your muscles and cells that detects sensation

  • Lack of pain awareness
  • Frequent physical injuries
  • No awareness of physical danger
  • Oral damage
  • Fractured bones
  • Genetically inherited
  • Injuries and health issues go undetected
