Respiration is the burning of photosynthates.This is combined with oxygen releasing energy, carbon dioxide and water. Without oxygen, plants would not be able to survive
The combined processes, including photosynthesis, decomposition, and respiration, by which carbon as a component of various compounds cycles between its major reservoirs the atmosphere, oceans, and living organisms.

This equation is showing the process of photosynthesis. This happens when a plant cell emits glucose and intakes oxygen and energy from the Sun.

Cellular Respiration is a set of reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into ATP

Photosynthesis plays an important role in supplying energy to living things. Without the process of photosynthesis, plants would not be able to survive since no source of energy would be given to them

Outputs:Glucose, Oxygen,Heat.
This is the equation for photosynthesis. It shows the process in which plants and some bacteria produce glucose from carbon dioxide using energy from sunlight

How can we as environmental engineering consultants use our knowledge of photosynthesis, cellular respiration and the carbon cycle to design and create a working biosphere model?
When designing the biosphere our purpose was to:
- Experiment with different plants and animals
- Build something that will allow life to be maintained in it
- Figure out strategies for best results with organisms
