Beijing is the capital of China. It had a population of 14,170,000 in 2011 and it is still growing. The fact that Beijing has such a high population, suggests that it is a very busy country. The east coast of China borders the Pacific Ocean. This shows that China has a very significant coastline. Many of the main cities in China occur along the coast. For example; Shanghai and Hong Kong. Just below the coastline is the island Taiwan.
China used to be an LEDC (a less economically developed country), but the country is quickly developing because lots of foreign countries are buying products from China. I think this suggests that China has a lot of material resources so they can make quality goods. Quite a few of the goods that China manufacture are made in Taiwan. For some of the poorer citizens of China, working in a factory production line is a highly paid job. The currency used in China is Yuan.

The Himalayan Mountains are found in the south-west of China and run along China's border with Nepal and India. This shows that China has a variety of physical features throughout the country. The tallest mountains China has are 2,700 meters.
