Afghanistan Blizzard Information
Temperatures fell to a low of -30 C, with up to 180 centimetres of snow in the more mountainous regions, killing at least 926 people. Aid organizations and foreign troops have passed out several tons of clothing, blankets, food and fuel in provinces throughout the country and in remote, mountainous villages. The hospitals performed frostbite amputations on at least 100 people across the country, as many walked barefoot in the freezing cold mud and snow. The weather also claimed more than 100,000 sheep and goats, and nearly 315,000 cattle have died. Afghanistan Blizzard was a Fierce and record-
breaking Blizzard.
During the Blizzard of Afghanistan
there was no government spending during the Blizzard. After everything was frozen and effected, that's when many different countries and cities help give clothes, food, shelter, blankets, and many more thing's. over a hundred of people suffered from frostbite all around the country. The death toll that the Government had spent was $1,317.
A blizzard is a severe weather condition characterized by
low temperatures and strong winds (graeter than 35 mph)bearing
great amount of snow , either falling or blowing.
Blizzard's are generally cold when polar air comes down and
mixes with the warm moist air from lower latitudes. it requires a few more complex elements in the atmosphere to get a storm system going, but once it's done it can feed on the temperature differences to become stronger. the "Deeper" a storm gets, the stronger the low perssure gets at the center (lower, in other worlds) which helps to enhance the winds, creating a blizzard.
Is just not a good idea. If you are on the
road during a blizzard look for a hotel
or motel nearby and stay off the road
until driving conditions are safe again
For each person in the household. If the lights are out, it will be hard to find that really warm turtle neck or a pair of warm socks or gloves... in the dark. Count on the power being out for at least a day or two and have some board games and a deck of cards on hand. Arts and crafts are always fun for the kids (especially if there isn't any television to distract them) so make sure you have some of those supplies easily available.
