-In the early days the plants, animals, and humans all lived together, however the humans were multiplying too much and there was less room to roam.

-The animals held a meeting to discuss their situation...which is why now not all animals live together anymore.

The First People..

-Among the first people were Kanati and Selu; they gave birth to their first child. The little boy would play by the stream, but eventually he started playing with a boy who had risen from the blood of the game washed by the stream.

Consequences..

The boys disobeyed their parents and brought many consequences to Earth like:

How it all began.

-The boys once opened the cave where kanati would find supper, thus they released all the animals, which is why people must hunt for their food.

-They were told that whenever Selu died that both of the kids were to drag her body around the house seven times and over the soil inside the circle. If they stayed up all night, in the morning they would have a crop of corn. However, they only dragged her body twice, which is why corn takes half a year to grow.

-The Earth begun as nothing but darkness and water; all the animals in Galunlati, were too crowded and so decided to move down Earth.

-They weren't sure of what was below them, so they sent a beetle to explore; the beetle only found mud which within time grew and grew to form what now is called Earth.

-A bird flew to the Earth, which was wet, to find out if it was dry. He eventually got tired and so his wings started flapping against the ground. He created mountains, he created Cherokee.
