Juxtaposition
- Juxtaposition is the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect.
- Huck Finn had two opposing events in his life: The raft and the widows house.
- Huck and Tom were "Best Friends" in the novel, but they were true opposites. How?
Huckleberry Finn
- Following the journey of Huck Finn.
- Faces racial stimpulantions of the time.
- Motives for writing include issues surrounding the racial hierachy of society and encourages equalization of races.
- Mark Twain's tone when considering racism and the underlying issues of his time are very negitive.

- He was a realistic author.
- In his early life, he was submerged in the racist ideals.
- Colored mentors.
