did i laugh or cry?

in then i did cry because 2 things

1. i cried when leopold was shot by the nazi soilder but i actully thought genia was shot not leopold.

2. i cried at the ending when zelda and genia were hung to die and that zelda never got to live a normal life.

i only cried when john as taken away from his family and friends.

what did i think about the authors work?

i thought that both authors did an amazing job of writing these books and that they will write lots of great books in the futurefor many kids to read and pass down.

about the genre

the genre was historical fiction. both of these books were true and had all facts true but in then the characters were made up. historical fiction means that the book is about the past and all of the things that happend houndreds of years ago.

then

quiz time!!!!

1. in then which 2 people died?

2. in the burnt stick who was the main character?

3. what years would i recommend both books to?

4. what ages would i recommend the books to?

then was a sad story and i enjoyed it very well. this book has a very sad ending as zelda and genia are hung to die. morris gleitsman wrote this book. he used pashion and love to write this book and i think you would love to read it and you would probably cry at the end....

recommend

The burnt stick

i think that both books would be recommended to years 3-6. ages 9-11. both books would be great to read and people would definitely be great

mostly i think this book was baced on the stolen genaration. children were taken away from their parents, family and friends. no one had permittion to take them away. children and familys tryed everything they could to stay home and be safe with the people thst love them.
