Change in Response to Environment
Classification
A GREAT FLOOD HAS WASHED AWAY THE TOP LAYERS OF SOIL AND VEGETATION!!!!!
Here are the following ways a Water Lily (Nymphaeaceae) will have to adapt to its environtment:
- Develope a smaller body - To reduce requirement of Sunlight since there will be many things covering the sunlight, it will have to be smaller to do less photosynthesis.
- Grow Larger Roots - Since Nutrients will be harder get, the roots will have to expand or have more mass to gain more nutrients.
- Stronger, Larger Thorns - Floods will bring in more or perhaps larger fish so a water lily will have to grow either more or larger thorns to protect itself from predators.
