LO: YWBAT conduct an interview that will evoke empathy and deeper understanding for our users.
Essential Question: What questioning strategies can help us get the most out our interviews?
Mock Interview
You interview me! We will use the questions you have written.
Train for your other interview:
- We will send out interview groups of 2.
- One person asks questions. The other person takes notes
- For this practice interview, one person should ask the questions while everyone else is taking notes.
- Remember the arc of the interview. Introduce yourself, introduce your project, build rapport, evoke stories, explore emotions, question statements, and thank the interviewee.
Homework: Arrange an interview with 1 - 2 of the users we have identified.
For Now: Let's complete the email that we will send out as a group.
- Then you can copy and paste the general form, personalize it for the user(s) you will be arranging the interview with, and send out the interview request.
