Plot points
Odysseus and his crew sail in the storm that Zeus created, but it soon became to difficult.
They dragged their ship into cover, a sea cave, where nymphs lived. And while they waited out the storm they were to only use the food and drink they had. And they could not eat the cattle, for if they did they would pay greatly.
They start to run out of there food supply and they had been waiting out the storm for a month so Odysseus stepped out to pray to the gods to help him find a way out of the storm and while he was asleep his men were visited by what they thought was Eurylochus. and he said they have to do something before they die of famine. The crew promises that which every sky god helps them will have a temple made dedicated to them.
Plot Points Part Two
- The men take the finest cattle and gather around for the ceremony. Before they started they plucked leaves,knifed the kine, and flayed each carcass cutting the thighbone and wrapping in double fat. They set those over fire and boiled water just as Odysseus woke.
- Helios gets mad about this
- Odysseus cried out to Zeus asking him why he made him sleep while this went on. And he cried and told Zeus that a nymph came discussed as Eurylochus came to his men telling them to kill the kine.
Plot Points Part Three
- After the seas calmed down Odysseus and his crew set back out to sea. And eventually no land was visible and Zeus sent thunder the ships way and the mast came crashing down and killed some rows men. Then a bolt, sent by Zeus, hit the ship and the men were flung into the sea.
- Odysseus grabbed some wood and rope and floated away from the ship. He drifted for the night and woke up on Scylla mountain and Charybdis deep and the whirlpool was sucking him in and he grabbed onto a tree
