- Watercolor is transparent.
- Watercolor is water-soluble.
- Watercolor leaves no texture.
Brushes

Basically...
- Large flat brushes are for washes
- Brushes with sharp edges create sharp lines
- Liner brushes create fine lines
- Fan brushes are hardly ever used
- Scrubber brushes are used to scrub away paint
- Watercolor brushes (in this classroom) have red tips. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING BUT WATERCOLOR.
