Mission

EaP CSF mission is to ensure effective participation of civil societies of Eastern Partnership and the EU in the process of planning, monitoring and implementation of the Eastern Partnership policy in constructive dialogue with the EU and EaP decision-makers, in the direction of the democratic transformation and European integration of EaP.

The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a policy initiative that aims to bring the six Eastern neighbours – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine – closer to the EU.

The Secretariat is an executive body that reports to the Steering Committee.

On a daily basis it works to support the activities of the Steering Committee and the Forum in general and serves as the EaP CSF information, coordination and expertise hub for stakeholders in the EU and in the EaP countries.

The Arbitration Committee is an independent body of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum that reports to the General Assembly and provides a mechanism to ensure balanced divisions of power, accountability and resolutions for dispute situations.

Steering Committee

Committee is responsible for the following functions:

  • Serving as a contact point for addressing complaints and disagreements inside EaP CSF, lodged externally or by any of its members
  • Responding to complaints related to EaP CSF procedures – the Delegate selection process, Re-granting scheme, National Platform operations, etc.
  • Making and confirming decisions on conflict situations, wherever there is a dispute
  • Monitoring and neutralising potential risks, and actual cases, of apparent conflicts of interest
  • Monitoring if the decisions of EaP CSF bodies – the Steering Committee, Secretariat, Re-granting Committee, National Platforms and Working Groups are in accordance with the EaP CSF statutes and regulations
  • Is the representative body of the EaP CSF with a mandate from civil society in the EaP countries and EU member states.

  • It serves as the governing board of the CSF and consists of 12 members elected for a two-year term.
