I love anything related to Art like painting,

designing and making things such as jewelry and ornaments.

I really like to look at something and imagine

how can I change it and make it become something else.

I love music.

I have a very eclectic taste that covers many styles, cultures, and time periods.

You might find me with Celtic music playing and then suddenly have it change to Motown.

In this class, we use EVERYTHING to make art.

I really like for my students to look at an item and think to themselves about what that item could do or become. We will start with pencils, markers, colored pencils, and crayons but then we will move to paints, to craft items, to clay, to pen and ink, to cardboard, wire, and ANYTHING I can find....

The possibilities are endless!

Art is the ability to create.

It is visualizing things in a different way.

This applies to not just creating things but also to finding solutions to perceived problems.

If a person can make a decision then that person is capable of being creative.

I want to help my students to learn to look at things differently and discover their creative side.

They will be given opportunities to explore different media and processes of art and to see how art applies to real world situations.

I want my students to leave my class knowing that I consider each one of them as a fellow artist.
