here we will discuss basic soldiering.

Close quarters

Cover and Shooting

MS: (melee skill): how much you need to roll to score a hit. ex: SS guard MS is 9.

Defence: (D): for both shooting and CQ, this will help you stop enemy attacks. ex: SS guard (vet) has two attacks (MS9), he hits the GI once. GI has a def 14. GI must roll 14+ to save his ass.

On the unit card you have:

RS (ranged skill): ex: SS guard have a RS of 13. meaning on a roll of 13 or less he will hit his target

Cover: each specific terrain piece has cover value, thereby making harder to hit. With a barracade (cover +4), the SS guard's RS is 9. NOTE: true LOS for cover, draw a line if, there is 50%+ cover then unit is in

sequence of play

Model Facing: models have a 180 facing LOS.

LOS: without line of sight, models cannot: stop commando action, jump to cover, brace, discover.
