All TV shows and movies make public schools and public education look like they don't matter and that they are a waste of time.
Public Schools get bashed on and people think that you have to go to some private school to get a good education.
For example, Fox News said that we should just call public schools government schools.

Public schools are always bashed by everyone. There is no point in making schools look like trash and places to hangout, do drugs, skip class, etc. in movies, TV shows, magazines, NEWS!!!
Public Schools and Public Educations image has been hurt terribly. By watching all of the TV shows and movies and EVEN THE NEWS, we look like we don't know what we are doing and that we can do whatever we want in schools and get away with it. An example would be Mean Girls. They skip class and no one says anything and they get no such consequences.
