Monsanto was founded in 1901 by a man named John Francis Queeny. Monsanto quickly gained fame by becoming the leading manufacturer of Chemicals, Insecticides and pesticides, as well as being the leading producer of Plastics, such as Polystyrene.
GMOs are in everything now-a-days.
Roughly 60% of all products grown in the United States has been Genetically Modified in some way. Corn, Tomatoes, Carrots, Peas, etc.

GM corn is insect resistant. Insects eat holes in the kernels, which get infected by fungi. These fungi produce cancer causing toxins. GM corn has been shown to have less of these toxins.
