Yolanda is looking for guavas which she has been craving? Her aunts, who live in the capital, are afraid for her safety. They tell her a woman should not travel alone, "for this is not the States". Yolanda stops at a roadside stand and arranges to pick some guavas, with the help of some boys who want a ride in her car. They pick guavas for an hour, and all but one of the boys disappear. By now, it is almost dark. Yolanda and the remaining boy, Jose, find that she has a flat tire. He goes for help, leaving her at the car. Suddenly two men appear, carrying machetes. Yolanda is frightened, although the men seem friendly. They change her tire and refuse any payment, saying it was their pleasure. She stuffs money into one of the men's pockets, picks up Jose, drives him home and leaves.

Questions to Consider...
ANTOJO is a spanish word that means CRAVING. A craving is MORE than something you like to eat... It's what you HAVE to HAVE because without it, your appetite/thirst is not SATISFIED. Sometimes an ANTOJO is cultural. Sometimes it's something unique to a household--something you grew up eating. Antojos are often unique to the individual.
This _______________, bring YOUR ANTOJO to class. Share with your classmates the origin of your antojo and why you have to have it.
