- Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686-1763)- He was from the 18th century. He created the 1st mercury thermometer in 1714. Thermometers are still used even today.
- Louis Pasteur (1822-1895)- He was from the 19th century. He proved that microorganisms cause disease. He also developed the germ theory, pasteurized milk to kill bacteria, and also created a vaccine for rabies in 1885. The vaccine he created is still used today to treat anything or anyone that may have rabies.

- Sigmund Freud (1856-1939)- He was from the 20th century. His studies formed the basis for psycology and psychiatry. Without his studies there would probably not have been psycology or psychiatry like we have today.
- Benjamin Carson MD (still living)- He is famous for his surgeries to separate conjoined twins. He separated 7-month-old boys who were joined at the back of the head in 1987. He continues to perform the surgeries today. Dr. Carson, has refined hemispherectomy which is the surgical procedure performed on the brain to help stop seizures that are difficult to cure or treat. Also created a program which combines neurosurgery and plastic surgery for children with deformities since birth. Dr. Carson has also written 3 best-selling books; Gifted Hands, The Big Picture, and Think Big. He also is the cofounder and president of the Carson Scholar's Fund which helps recognize young people for great academic performance and humanitarian achievement.
