Collective/compound Nouns

Collective: Nouns names groups or members of a group. Examples: audience,committee,department, society and team

Compound Nouns: Two words into one word. Types: Combination, Hyphenated, Open-form Examples: Firefly, keyboard, over-the-counter, six-pack, post-office, real-estate

Interrogative/Indefinite

Interrogative ask questions ,what ,who,whom,which

Who wants ice cream?

Indefinite - A person or group of people that can't be identified specifically. Examples: all, any, another, someone. somebody,few, many, one, each, other

Abstract/Concrete

personal/demonstrative pronoun

Abstract: you can't experience abstract nouns with your five senses, and can't physically interact. Examples: bravery,love,trust,curiosity and boredom

Concrete: Nouns are tangible. You can experience a concrete noun with your five senses. Examples: puppy,pencil,trumpet and ice

Demonstrative identifies a noun or pronoun. Examples: this, that, these, and those

Proper/Common Nouns

Common names a person,place and thing. Examples: Stacey,School, and pencil

Helping verbs: Verbs that help main verbs. Example: am, is, are, was, and, were, being, been, be, have, has, had, do, does, did, shall, will, should, would, may, my, must, can, could

Conjunctions

Use in front of vowel a, e, i, o, u. A, and An. The is Definite is exact indefinite is not exact.

Example: The seventh stick, A notch, An upper branch
