New lecturers have started to teach and they are interested in Prezi. One of them send me a request for help. I met her yesterday and she sent me a cute email afterwards.

Hackathon was an event where students had to stay overnight at university, create and develop a product. In the morning they had to present it and who wins is able to develop it in reality.

  • Prezi Training for Automation Engineering students (Nov. 4)
  • Prezi evening event + movie night.

  • Helped two of my lecturers to understand and work with Prezi (5th of November - Wednesday)
  • Took part in "HAMK Future Hackathon".. Helped students to present their project with Prezi.
  • Marketing HAMK through Prezi in

HAMK BUSSI.

  • Contacted other campuses and ask to set a date when I can visit them.

Students travel around Finland with a buss and park nearby high schools. High school students come in and they get introduced to HAMK. This time through Prezi.

  • Record a video
  • Visit other Campuses and have trainings there.
  • Have a workshop with exchange students.
  • Get in touch with the italian company and accept the training in italian (looking forward to this!)

Extra note:

Something I'm really proud of is my 9 year old brother has started use prezi at school and he has made all his classmates use it.

This month I had to prioritize between something I have to do and something I truly like to. Unfortunately exams won!

This little break gave me a lot of ideas for next semester.

  • The first thing I have to do on 7th of January when I come back, I will go to another campus in some city to have a class with another professor about Prezi.
  • Have the video (which I mentioned in last report) recorded) - I will leave it as a surprise.
  • I met Kim again this month, we have a plan about a common event but we need to find some fund first (it's tricky
  • Agreed with a photographer for Prezi photo-shooting.

We have some ideas and plans

Since we have created this kind of identity we want to keep it, even after the challenges.

We have created few accounts so far:

Gmail: prezoes@gmail.com

Twitter: https://twitter.com/prezoes

Medium: https://medium.com/@prezoes

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/prezoes

Some of the next ideas are about videos, google hangouts, even app etc etc.

Goals

http://prezi.com/5i82pkajzhox/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy

3rd of November: the 5th report

Things I've learned:

1. Creating a project plan and controlling it

2. Bi-monthly report can also mean "every-two-months"

3. To be patient, if something doesn't work right now, take a breath and try a bit harder later.

Done

I agree that the hashtag was a bit long. Keeping it in mind for next time.

  • HAMK Clubs have started to work with Prezi.
  • A training scheduled for 4th of November - Automation Engineering students.
  • Social Media Campaign started and students have been using hashtags as well.
  • A lots of presentations presented in Prezi by students in different classes and courses.

  • Started working with Prezoes for Social Media challenge - 2 meetings
  • Negative: this brings in mind that I haven't been very active in social media lately.
  • During the time in Kosovo I had a presentation in a high school and students were asking questions about Prezi.

To do

Created an instagram account

  • Prepare the Prezi training presentation for tomorrow (=Last minute aka. student life)
  • Prepare the presentation for Friday's event
  • Help two of my lecturers to understand and work with Prezi (5th of November - Wednesday)
  • Figure out my mini-thesis topic an connect it with Prezi Ambassadorship program (talk to Igor Lacerdino about this)
  • Register for a workshop at "HAMK Future Hackathon"

6th of October: 3nd report

To do list

Done:

Positive:

  • I have an awesome, creative and fun ambassadors team! It's a pleasure to work with them.
  • The number of new users,

new prezis and views is growing slowly but firmly, which is good for the future.

  • Plan the event which for some reason didn't happen last week.
  • Meeting with high school and technical school principal (Topic: start a "Let's Prezify our campuses" campaign.)
  • Next training with BNI14 Group A (6.10)
  • Book a training for exchange students (requested from students themselves)
  • Give 2 prizes for 2 best "HAMK abroad" Prezis from last training.
  • Meet with Kim to brainstorm over a big event with both our universities involved.
  • Corrected the facebook page
  • Received the Prezi swag package
  • 29.9 Training with Street Team
  • 1.10 Training with BNI14 (Placed a competition "Who makes the best Prezi to present HAMK" Prize - Some combination of Prezi Swag)
  • Got an offer to train companies that operate in the Campus.
  • Got an offer for in-between campuses cooperation (This includes High school and technical school)
  • Used Social Media (StumbleUpon, twitter, facebook, instagram) and face to face talking for promotion.
  • Started making Marketing packages for different projects.

Challenges

  • I have to find a way to create events and get reimburse for some snacks and beverages from school (since Prezi doesn't reimburse for it . In my university usually some snacks are provided in these kind of events.
  • The next two weeks are going to be full with other projects and exams and it will be challenging to be on track with everything.

In addition: I have mentioned that I am an advanced speaker of italian language. There is a company operating in campus which has some exchange employees from Italy and they want me to hold a training in italian. However, I have to think more about it and maybe Ashley, you have an advice or suggestion?! (I have been working in Switzerland in italian language but it was just a student summer job.)

Fun parts:

  • Prezified Harri (Check the goals)
  • Prezified my friend's bikes
  • Became the Prezi girl in the campus
  • Met Kim (Ambassador from Henken School of Economics in Helsinki)

17th of November: the 6th report

(Our finnish teacher Raija was translating since they don't speak english very well.)

To do

It was a very great idea to show the movie "The Internship". The movie is really motivating and they all were so excited. Afterward I showed some prezis chosen by me and by Prezi Staff in the website which had to do with companies and marketing.

http://prezi.com/qjobp4dsipbv/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy

Challenge involved:

Pitch your favorite movie through Prezi and win two cinema tickets.

A guy from Business degree won them.

I had a presentation in another university with one of my lecturers. It went great and he introduced me as Prezi Ambassador.

Pinterest challenge

Started working on the challenge with the team. It was challenging at first but everything went right after some brainstorm sessions.

15th of December: the 7th report

Done:

- Set up private and group classes for next semester

- Had some 'unplanned' and sudden teacher calls

to help with Prezi.

Challenges:

- This has been the busiest time of the semester, many exams and everybody is busy. I wasn't able to do much. However, still, everyday people came to me and ask about it or they just wanted to share their Prezi experiences which makes me feel proud and glad.

2nd Challenge

Prezoes:

As usually the team work is really good. We have had some thoughts about the challenge, I have informed Alex so far.

Although all of us are active (except Dan Pearson, never heard of him in group), there are still some people who work less than some others but I guess that is something happening in each team.

20th of October: the 4th report

1. What has been done:

  • Social Media updating and sharing continuously
  • The big event is planned and scheduled for the 7th of November. (note: all 7 campuses are invited.)
  • Prizes were given, students were happy. (Prezi swag)
  • Helped "Street team" with their Prezis, they went abroad (Germany, Latvia, Kosovo, China, Romania, Russia) to market HAMK through Prezi.

  • Finally corrected the goals according to Ashley's feedback.

To-do:

Starting the Social Media campaign #PreziatHAMKtravelsto ...(It already traveled to Kosovo)

Students from street team will take pictures of their presentations and I will keep sharing!

Reschedule VAAO and Highschool training sessions.

The 7th of November even (aka. 'Prezi at HAMK evening':

Explanation:

It will be a simple event which will take place in Campus Center at Valkeakoski. Students and staff from all 7 HAMK units are invited. It will be non-alcoholic event and the food (coffee, pulla and grape will be provided by me). I want to show some videos of Prezi (yet to be decided which ones and if you have any suggestion please let me know), listen to music and share prezi experiences with each other. At the end of the event they will take pictures which show that they have been Prezified (I love this word!) The event will last approximately 2 up to 3 hours. Starting form 18:00).

http://prezi.com/jrgk4yxsqdrh/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy

2. Positive

  • People are curious, even the ones who are less active in outside 'class' activities.
  • University's support is 'TOP'.
  • Marketing department of HAMK is willing to work closely with me and Prezi.

My highlight for last week:

3. Scope deviations

  • 2 training sessions and 1 event didn't happen. Technical school and high school training sessions due to students having their Matriculation Examination.
  • This week (from 18th to 26th of October) is Autumn break and I traveled to Kosovo (didn't plan to!)

To-do:

Will have only two more trainings for April (as we finish the study year on 28th of April)

15th of January: the 8th report

Fun fact: He thought it was someone directly from Prezi who put it cause it seemed to be very professional. (I decided to take it as a compliment! Mhmm..)

Traveling to Switzerland for Christmas break was great!

Got the first email from my campus in Valkeakoski

Got the posters distributed in other campuses (in 3 so far)

Although, the highlight of it was my journey to Italy

It was quite challenging getting

the whole university involved

therefore I decided to go with the

easiest way: Internet.

Will continue with every campus, one by one!

-Seems more efficient!

Challenges!

Three days late. Explained!

Last but not least, sorry for being late with the report. It is not my style! I try to be as punctual possible! :)

... and I will be working on this template next week as I have it free (and I know it looks terrible atm!)

I'm becoming a super Nutshell user!

Can't wait for it to be launched so I can share the "masterpieces" on social media!

1. I need to get back on track and start doing more actions in the campus! Due to everyone being extremely busy, I'm having a hard time organizing events.

2. I'm a bit behind on events. Therefore I need to check on them and start organizing.

3. Need to modify a bit the goals I set at the beginning. I feel like I have learned more since then.

And thank you for being so patient with us Ashley!

You rock! (especially now that I have found out you are a fan of LOTR!

23rd of February: the 11th report

Done

1. Held one workshop in Riihimäki.

4. Fixed the template for this report. Yay! Looks much better.

Comments:

Although the students were kind of distracted (probably because of Spring Break) teachers really liked the presentation and they invited me to go again. One of the teachers from US, brought me a gift

Nutshell's corner

Feedback: People absolutely love it

Android users are asking for it

How cool is that? lol

  • I will be traveling to South Korea for Harvard Model United Nations Conference in Seoul on 11th of March and the whole delegation will be presenting with Prezi. We are preparing some really good Prezis (I will send them as soon as we are finished)

3. Met with the lady from Valkeakoski City and explained her how Prezi works.

Comment:

Unfortunately she wasn't so happy to take photos of her.

20th of April: the 14th report
