What it's all about then?
Juggling Day was started in 1947 for jugglers and none jugglers alike to come together and celebrate this ancient skill.
It is a physical skill, performed by a juggler.
The most recognizable form of juggling is 'toss juggling'.
Jugglers often refer to the objects they juggle as 'props'.
The most common props are balls, rings, or clubs.
Some brave jugglers use knives, fire or chainsaws!!
In 1768, Philip Astley opened the first modern circus. Jugglers began performing a few years later in his circuses along side the horse and clown acts. since then, jugglers have been associated with circuses.

Gentleman Juggler
Germans introduced the gentleman Juggler'. This was popular in the late 19th and 20th century. Wearing formal evening clothes and juggling with dinner party items such as plates, bottles, loaves of bread and chairs were often used.
