"Friendship of the Pilipin@s"

It has since grown to educating the community about the many aspects of Pilipin@ culture.

It is also a great way for you to be a part of a community and to meet/interact with other like-minded PUSH-ers like yourself!

Our efforts are focused on encouraging

practice Tagalog in everyday conversation.

Workshops are much more casual, informal, and allow both board and members to have a mutual dialogue.

Topics covered are not necessarily about specific career paths but are aimed to explore the necessary skills and information related to the pre-health journey, such as:

  • Professionalism, networking, public speaking, certifications, time management, college life, etc.

  • Past conferences that PUSH has attended
  • UCI PUSO Pre-Health Conference, SDSU Catch the Wave to Success Conference, and UC Berkeley Minorities in Health Conference
  • In Spring Quarter, PUSH organizes our big, annual weekend trip to the Bay Area to attend either the UC Berkeley Minorities in Health Conference or the UCSF Undergraduate Recruitment Day

Kamalayan Kollective is a political, people-centered, feminist organization that seeks to raise critical consciousness. We are a group of UCSD students and community members that aim to provide a progressive space for Pinays and allies. We understand the personal is inherently political, and the political as deeply personal. Thus, we seek to empower and create change through acts of resistance and acts of love.
