- Macbeth's psychological problems begin when the witches tell him the prophecies.
- These prophecies make him go mad and consider killing Duncan (The King) and become king himself.
- Later in the story he has dreams of bloody daggers above him which makes him go crazy.
- His fear of death causes him to kill others in order to hide his actions
