CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Individual working to improve the quality of work, group works morale increase, thus contributing to the enhancement of the quality product and organizational performance.

Human resources within organization is an asset that should be administered systematically in order to provide organizations with competent workforce.

However, in managing human resources, satisfaction factors among the workers should be the main objective because it will directly leads to organization performance.

The study will focus only four of the seven human resource practices (Recruitment, Compensation, Training and Development, and Safety and Health).

The study is done with human resource executive as the respondents and in several organizations in Melaka.

H0: There has no significance relationship between training and development and organizational performance.

Therefore the knowledge of practices in human resource management are needed.

Help the management to develop the better management in human resource to strengthening and improving the organizational performance.

bring the awareness to the organization about the importance of the knowledge in human resource management practices in moving towards the achievement of the goals, vision and mission set by the organization.

Data Collection Method

Data that have been collected, tested and analyzed using descriptive statistics techniques according to the objectives of the study by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program.

Data collection methods used in this was to determine the level of organizational performance and the extent of its relationship with human resource management.

Overall of the study is concentrated on questions of selected human resource management practices as independent variables.

Questionnaires designed according to likert scale from ‘strongly disagree’ to ‘strongly agree’.

The secondary data resource are collected from journal article and book references that related to the employees behavior.
