In Paris, Hobbes began to work on what is now known as the most influential books ever written. Leviathan was written during the English Civil Wars (1642-1651). His book was called Leviathan (a beastly sea creature),which would protect people from their own selfishness.
From the creation of Leviathan also came the Social Contract.
