HOWEVER: "For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:28)

Institutions like the hijab or the mechitza is to keep a man's mind pure and on prayer while keeping women modest. Why is this the woman's responsibility? Why can't men be held responsible?
Is religion still saturated with patriarchy? Yes.
Is it always oppressive? No.
